- AMAPOLA CREEK – Cab lovers Zin, dense deep purple in color rich, full bodied, moderate tannins long on the finish, complex ripe dark fruit not jammy. Monte Rosso Vinyard in eastern Sonoma has some extremely old vines, some as old as 125 years. The Wine maker is Richard Arrowood who is celebrating his 51st year of winemaking.
- Faust Napa Valley Cabernet – From the Huneeus family, maker of Quintessa, comes the 2015 Faust Cabernet. Blended with Cabernet, Merlot, Cab Franc, and Petit Verdot. Aged 19 months in 100% French oak. Velvety tannins, blackberry black cherry and plums. Robert Parker 92-94

Great Pahlmeyer tasting Thursday night. The 2014 Pahlmeyer Chardonnay was a big butter bomb with huge mouth feel. 100% malolactic fermentation ( hence the soft buttery mouth feel) Spent 11 months in new french oak medium toast.
